How it works

  2. Set up the port's launcher on its Online co-op page, following the step-by-step guide.
  3. Play online: pick online on the game's title screen and ring the bell.

Step by step in the launcher

Open the port's launcher (version 1.9 or newer). Its Online co-op page has to look like this:

  1. In the menu on the left, open Online co-op.
  2. Tick Play online.
  3. Under Co-op pool, pick shadNet server. This is the most common mistake: with The Hunter's Dream picked you end up on another server and won't find anyone from here.
  4. In Game server, paste https://jogo.cacadoresbr.com, and in Server address, jogo.cacadoresbr.com:31313. Leave the WebAPI address empty. With our game server, if The Hunter's Dream goes down you can still go online and play co-op and PvP.
  5. Under Account, enter the username and password you created here. The username, not the email. A Discord / The Hunter's Dream account is not needed.
  6. Leave UPnP ticked (only untick it if you use Tailscale or another VPN).
  7. Click Test connection. All three lines must say reachable and show jogo.cacadoresbr.com. If you see thehuntersdream.com, check steps 3 and 4.
  8. Click PLAY, pick online on the game's title screen and ring the bell.

Launcher 1.9+

Use the latest version of the PC port. The launcher tells you itself when there is an update.

Game version 1.09

Everyone playing together needs version 1.09 and this same server.

Your own copy of the game

The server only handles the online part. The game files come from your own copy.

FAQ

I rang the bell and nobody shows up

Check that both of you have the same game version (1.09), the same server, the same area and a similar level. If "Test connection" doesn't say reachable on all three lines, check the server address and the username/password. Be patient: the game only searches every now and then, so it can take a few minutes.

Can we play as 3 (host + 2 guests)?

Yes. The host can summon up to 2 hunters. After the first one, the game takes about 3 minutes to search again; to get everyone in at once, both guests ring the small bell before the host rings theirs.

Can I invade (PvP with the Sinister Bell)?

Yes. Both of you ring in the same area and use the same summoning password, so you find each other and not other players.

I get "Failed to communicate with the Bloodborne server"

That message comes from the game server. Make sure the launcher's Game server is https://jogo.cacadoresbr.com: with it, our server covers The Hunter's Dream outages (it stores the messages, bloodstains and ghosts) and you can still go online and play co-op and PvP. During an outage only the ground messages stop updating until it's back. If the message keeps showing, select OK to try again.

I used bbbridge and now get "Failed to acquire server information"

Old bbbridge versions leave the file user\host_overrides.custom.json in the game folder. Delete that file (or open bbbridge 0.3.2 or newer once) and try again.

I use 187.77.233.7:31313. Do I need to change it?

It isn't required: the old address still works. But it's worth switching to jogo.cacadoresbr.com:31313, because if the server ever moves to another machine, the name keeps working with no changes on your side.

Which languages can I play in?

Any language the game has; the server doesn't care. Brazilian players can also get our PT-BR translation, which keeps the online working.

I forgot my password

There is no password recovery. Just create a new account with another username and another email: your game progress lives in your save, not in the account.

Does my account work on the official shadPS4 server?

No. They are separate servers: an account from here only works here, and everyone in your group has to use this server.
