PT-BR Translation

Bloodborne with menus, items and text in Brazilian Portuguese, without losing the online. Only for Portuguese speakers: if you play in English, you don't need anything on this page.

Download

A patch that unlocks Portuguese in the game and keeps the online working. The package has 2 files:

  • Bloodborne.xml · the patch you turn on in the launcher
  • Bloodborne.xml.bak · the original patch, kept only for reference (no need to turn it on)

Based on "Unlock Game Region" by Lance McDonald and Kyo. The original sets the game to the Japanese region and the online stops working; our version changes the region and keeps the online.

  1. Extract the 2 files from the .zip into the game folder: the CUSA03173 folder, where eboot.bin is. Example: C:\Games\Bloodborne-Windows\bbport-windows\CUSA03173. Don't put them in the port's patches folder: it already has the port's own Bloodborne.xml (FPS, effects) and you would replace it.
  2. Open the launcher and go to Mods & patches.
  3. Under Third-party patches, click Browse… next to Patches folder and pick the CUSA03173 folder. Then click Update.
  4. Tick Bloodborne.xml/Unlock Game Region (online). If there is also an "Unlock Game Region" without "(online)", leave it unticked: that's the original, which breaks the online.
  5. Go to Game & effects and, under Game language, pick Portuguese (Brazil). The voices stay in whatever language you prefer.
  6. Click PLAY. Menus, items and dialogue show up in Portuguese, and the online keeps working.

FAQ

The game is still in English

Check steps 4 and 5: the patch has to be ticked in Mods & patches and the Game language has to be Portuguese (Brazil). If the patch list is empty, make sure the Patches folder points to the folder where you extracted the files and click Update.

The online stopped after the translation

The original "Unlock Game Region" (without "(online)") is probably ticked. Untick it and leave only the (online) one.

Do I need both files?

Only Bloodborne.xml is used. The .bak is the original patch, kept in case you want to compare or go back; it doesn't show up in the launcher and doesn't get in the way.

Does it work with my game version?

The patch is for game version 1.09, the same one the online needs.
